Whimsical Christmas Mantel

Psst!  If you haven't clicked over to Quite The Occasion yet - be sure to check us out!  Here is a post today on dinner party entertaining tips by yours truly.

I decided to try something different this year with my mantel decorations.  I was hoping to go a bit more whimsical and bring in lime green overall.  I am not finished with all of my projects but I did finish the mantel this weekend.  I love how it turned out!

I gathered greenery from a neighbors yard.  I told Rudy there is something about carrying fresh cut greenery in a basket that makes me feel like Martha Stewart.  ha!

I went with glass, green and sparkly this year.  I already had the figurines and the star topiaries so I built on that.

I got these fun stockings at the junior league wearhouse many years ago.  I still love them!

I wrapped the glass vases with scrapbook paper to bring in some more red and polka dots.

The star topiaries are so fun aren't they?

I have a cool wreath I am making, repurposing a country table top tree and a creative way to display Christmas cards coming all this week.
